Just today, I looked at my previous drafts and there are 4 there, one of which has been sitting there since February 2020, a time that feels like a life time ago. In a way it was a lifetime ago, we’ve experienced a lot of new things this year, and we’ve lived through something that changes the course of history.
It’s weird to think that soon things will start getting back to what it was like before, shops will be opening again and people will be able to be around people they don’t live with. It’s crazy how we took things like that for granted before, but at this point I’d welcome a impromptu trip somewhere even just to the local.
Way back when I wrote an article about lockdown, the Lockdown Diary. I called it part one, but I’ve never actually gotten around to writing part two, maybe I was being optimistic thinking I’d get around to a part two.
Well here I am, I’m still working from home, still taking each day as it comes, but now I can plan for the future because the light at the end of the tunnel is visible for the first time in a long time. We can plan trips, we can book tables at restaurants, we can optimistically plan meet ups and parties. Finally.
That’s all for now.
